Simple Closures is owned and operated by Lynn and Melissa, two registered nurses, who share a desire to help women maintain their sense of self, despite their difficulty with dressing. We have experienced firsthand how frustrating and uncomfortable conventional clothes can be for differently abled women through our experiences in geriatrics, physical rehab, long-term care, and home environments.

The idea for such a clothing line stemmed from Lynn's experience with a patient who had debilitating arthritis and had been hospitalized for many months. Her grandson was to be married and the physician had approved a pass from the hospital for the day so she could attend the wedding. Everyone was excited for her but when the time came to get her dressed we could not bend or coax her joints to cooperate. Unwilling to attend the wedding in anything other than the attractive outfit she had planned on wearing, she stayed in the hospital. Lynn never forgot the look of disappointment this patient had when she decided to not go to the wedding.

Years later, when working alongside Melissa, she told her about this patient and how she harbored the idea of a line of clothes to help those with dressing difficulties.

Melissa, throughout her years of experience working with patients for whom dressing was a challenge had similar stories and understood immediately the need for such a product.

We knew we needed to develop a line of clothing that better met the needs of these women. Our Simple Closures line of clothing is designed to minimize the challenges of dressing and undressing for differently abled women.

Our mission is to provide high-quality, stylish garments that adapt to the needs of our customers, to greatly improve their quality of life and instill a positive self-image. Pyschological wellbeing is an often overlooked but critically important aspect of living with physical and mental impairments --- hence our motto: Look Good, Feel Good!

Simple Closures styles are designe dby well-known San Francisco designer, Joanie Char. Every jacket, top, and pair of slacks is constructed from high-quality, stretchable, washable fabrics. Styles are designed for fashionable look sas well as simplicity of use. Special easy-access features incorporated into every design are virtually invisible while the garment is being worn.
